On January 1, 2001, Jerry Seabaugh joined
the Region staff as the Midwest Area Minister for the American
Baptist Churches of the Central Region. In 2005, the Midwest
Area and the South Central Area combined and became the Cross-Roads
Area with Jerry serving as area minister. In 2009, all Area
Ministers became Associate Executive Ministers with regional
assignments.
Jerry grew up in the St. Louis area. He received a
BA from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo.; M.Div. from the Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY; and D.Min. from Northern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Ill. He has also pastored four
churches after seminary with 24 years of pastoral experience.
Jerry's active lifestyle includes golf, trout fishing,
walking, hunting, bowling and whitewater rafting. He also reads a variety
of books including westerns and sci-fi novels. Linda Seabaugh works for
Hutchinson Community College and enjoys gardening, walking, quilting and teaching her adult Sunday School class.
The Seabaughs have two married children.
David, and his wife, Ruth, and grandsons, Josiah, Danial and
Elijah Seabaugh, live in St. Paul, Minn. David is serving
in his first pastorate. Teresa and her husband, Tim Toolen,
and grandson, Thomas Toolen, live in the St. Louis area where
Teresa works in the health care profession and volunteers
as a campus minister at Maryville University.
