Here are some things you might like to know about me.
1. I am pastor of Elm Grove Baptist Church, Chiles, which is a small country church.
2. I was Director of Music at Stilwell Baptist for 27 years, at Wellington Baptist for 3 years, and Coordinator of Music and Worship for 7 years at Colonial Presbyterian (while I was also serving Stilwell Baptist).
3. I reached the point in my life where I didn't want to meet my Lord and say, "I never got around to that, so I finally went to seminary."
4. I am married to Ron, who is retired. He worked in the data processing department of Kansas City Life. Ron is moderator-elect for our area, which also puts him on the Central Region Board.
5. We have three children. Jenny is married with three sons. She is a nurse. One of our twins, Tim, is married, and we hope they give some more grandchildren at some point. Tim owns a business with his brother. The other twin, Jonathan, is not married and may never be! He is in insurance. Jonathan recently went out on his own but is also working with Tim.
6. I am currently serving as president of the Luther Rice AB Women's Ministries.
7. Ron and I sang with three other married couples, The Harmonic Mates, for 15 years. We have been together for a couple of years now, and I really miss it!
8. I love music, and while I can sing and play the piano, what I really love is helping others sing.
