Tim Schwartz) — As we journey through the advent season to Christmas, let us pray that we might clean out all of the trappings of the season so that we might draw closer to the Christ child during this holy time. Let us pray that we, like Mary, would be open to the amazing possibilities of what God can do through us if we believe and act on God’s call in our lives.
Let us pray that we might help to meet their needs and share God’s love with them.
Let us pray for all humanity that they would cast aside all anger, prejudice and fear and be filled with the glorious and joyous news of the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ!
As the scriptures share: And the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11 (NASB)
