Prayer Emphasis
November, 2017

(By Rev. Tim Schwartz) — As we prepare for Thanksgiving celebrations, let us offer a prayer of thanks for all of the gifts that God has bestowed on us: faith, family, friends, work, home, food, health, provision and protection.

Let us especially give thanks in prayer for the ministry of Dr. John S. Williams who will retire at the end of this year. May we continue to offer prayers of thanksgiving for all of the ways that John has led our Region’s ministries during the past ten years and for the many insightful messages he has proclaimed to challenge, educate, encourage and motivate us to serve Jesus and love our neighbor more.

Let us praise God for the wonderful work John has done with everyone throughout our Region. May we ask the Holy Spirit to bless John and Connie in a magnificent way as they spend more time with family and friends, as they prepare for new adventures and seek new ways to live out the love of Christ everyday. As the scripture says: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.” Philippians 1:3 NASB
