Prayer Emphasis
September, 2018

(By Rev. Tim Schwartz) — As we look forward to the Annual Gathering this year, let us pray for our speakers and the messages that they will bring to us. Let us pray for Kyle Taylor, who will be speaking to the Ministers’ Council Clergy & Spouse Gathering, that we might learn from his Native-American roots and ministry. Let us also pray for Rev. Sharon Koh, Executive Director of International Ministries, as she speaks from the perspective of an Asian-American woman, about what God is doing through our missionaries scattered throughout the world.

Let us pray for our Region during this time of transition.

Let us offer prayers of thanksgiving for the diversity of people in this Region, and let us pray that we might be united in Christ and “find unity through faith.”

As the scripture says, “There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave nor free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 (NRSV).
