Elie Haddad

Arab Baptist Theological Seminary

Born and raised in Lebanon, Elie Haddad immigrated to
Canada towards the end of the civil war in Lebanon in 1990.
He worked for 15 years in Toronto as in the area of
Information Systems and Management consulting. During his
work, Elie enrolled in a Masters of Theological Studies (MTS)
program at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto alongside his
involvement with the Middle East Baptist Church in
Mississauga where he served as a member of the pastoral
team. He is a PhD Candidate in Missional Ecclesiology at The
Free University (Amsterdam.) In 2005, Elie and his wife
Mireille felt called to return to Lebanon, where – as a
missionary with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) – Elie
joined the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) serving
as Provost until 2008 when he became President. Elie’s areas
of expertise are Missional Ecclesiology, Ethics, and

Dr. Ron Sisk

Sioux Falls Seminary

Dr. Ron Sisk holds the rank of Emeritus Professor of
Homiletics and Christian Ministry at Sioux Falls Seminary. He
retired in 2015 as Academic Vice President and Dean of the
Faculty after serving at Sioux Falls Seminary from 2002 to
2015. While there he taught preaching to students serving
the upper Midwest and around the world. He holds a B.A. in
History and Political Science from the University of Arkansas,
an M.A. in American Social History from New York
University, and the M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from The
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1982). From 1982
to 1984 he served at The Christian Life Commission of the
Southern Baptist Convention. He has been the pastor of
four churches in Kentucky, California, and Texas. Under his
leadership his fourth congregation, Crescent Hill Baptist
Church in Louisville, Kentucky, affiliated with the American
Baptist Churches. He holds ordination in the American
Baptist Churches and has preached in congregations in the
Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa. He is the author of
four books and numerous articles on a wide range of
practical topics in the Christian life, including three works on
the practice of ministry: Surviving Ministry (1997), The
Competent Pastor (2005),and Preaching Ethically (2008). In
retirement he and his wife Sheryl S. Sisk (B. A., M.Div.) live in
Loveland, Colorado, and they have one son, Doug, a web
developer living in Denver
